China has established two nuclear fuel fabrication bases in northern and southern China respectively, and has gradually become capable of conducting R&D and manufacturing of highperformance fuel assemblies since the completion of its first PWR nuclear fuel fabrication line in 1987. Now China is able to mass-produce nuclear fuel assemblies of proprietary brands such as CF1, CF2 and CF3, nuclear fuel assemblies of wellknown international brands such as VVER, AFA-3G, AP1000 and CANDU6, as well as spherical fuels for high temperature gas-cooled reactor, meeting the needs of both domestic and exported nuclear power plants.
